All players enjoy scoring goals. Our goals and nets attract players during practices as well as before of after game.
From a younger players perspective the goals are similar to a jungle gym. They appear safe to climb on and play around. However, they can flip and cause injuries! Additionally, climbing on the nets damages the nets - nets are expensive!
As parents and coaches, we are responsible for keeping all of our players and their guest safe. And, keeping the goals in good condition. To maintain the nets and keep the goals safe Piedmont Soccer Academy (PSA) has developed the following policies:
Absolutely no climbing on or hanging from the goals!
No climbing of playing in the nets!
During all practices and games goals are to be secure by sand bags to prevent flipping
After practices and games goals are to be secured and locked
Let's keep our pitch safe and our players smiling!!
